Update
I know it has been a while since my last update but I am slowly making progress. I have completely taken all the old pieces of flooring off the boat.
The last thing I have been able to finish is installing the carpet. See pictures below:
The next project I will be working on is continuing to replace all the sheet metal on the fence. I will rebuild the fence and then I will be ready for the furniture. Stay tuned for future updates.
After cleaning the top of the pontoons real good with the pressure washer I completed the installation of the new flooring.

Slow Going
I have learned that the destruction of the original boat was not only the fun part but also does not take very long. I am currently working on sealing the plywood sheets with spar urethane. This is a very time consuming task.
I am also currently replacing the sheet metal on the rails. This is not that bad but the sheet metal is very thin and gives little room for error. The attached photo shows my first run at this. I may end up replacing this piece if I have enough sheet metal left when I finish the boat.

The Beginning
In September 2011 I purchased a 1989 Lowe 200 Pontoon boat strictly with the idea of a complete renovation. I have a passion for boats and this will be my first adventure into a complete restoration. I will try to update as progress is made. Please check back!
Below are pictures of the boat when I purchased it.

This boat was originally set up as a fishing style pontoon. I will be restoring to a more traditional style pontoon with the bench seats in the front and an L-shaped bench in the rear.
Below are photos of the boat after all the furniture and carpet have been removed:
